Need a Pledge?
Well I've got one available.
Because I need to be at my best for my students...
visualizing the day; it will be terrific
i will use and provide manipulatives
i will connect the lessons to student personal experience
i will unpack the concepts in student friendly terms
i will teach with vocabulary and explicitly state what to look for
i will teach with leading questions and repetitive phrase
i will use the power of students setting goals for themselves
i will ask students to make a plan of how to achieve those goals
we'll review results
i will hold students accountable to all expectations
i will ask them “how do you know?” so that i know
i will ask them to be specific about what they want to know
i will propose an array of: kinesthetic, musical, visual, literary, and silent challenge
i will give my students the respect they deserve
i will deflect defensiveness with kindness
i will offer opportunities to meet lesson objectives and engage in a variety of ways
i will be prepared and well versed for each lesson
i will follow through the Direct Instructional Model with each lesson
i will stick with timelines and formative assessments as coauthored by my P.L.C.
i will refresh my goal for excellence with this reminder of sound practice
i will see and be with what happens
